This style takes no more than 10 minutes to create and can be worn as a casual look, to parties or even on the red carpet. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
-
-
1
Apply a small amount of volumizing gel or mousse onto damp hair, working it from root to tip.
-
2
Blow-dry your hair back away from your face until it is completely dry.
-
-
3
Separate a 3- to 4-inch section of hair at the crown of your head and backcomb (tease) the hair as close to your head as possible. This will create a bump of hair at your crown.
-
4
Come over the bump carefully, smoothing the hair at the surface over the hump, but not unteasing the hair.
-
5
Tie your hair into a loose ponytail, making sure your hair tie is tight around your ponytail. Make the ponytail approximately an inch lower than where you want your ponytail to actually sit.
-
6
Grab your hair close to the hair tie and pull the hair out to the sides so the ponytail gets closer to the head and tighter. Pull the ponytail up until it rests where you want it, to give the poof more height.
-
7
Spray your hair poof with a light dusting of hairspray to keep it in place.

Tips & Warnings
For a more edgy look, do not smooth the hair over your poof, instead just pull some hair over it and tease it slightly to give it that 'just out of bed' look.
