Instructions

    • 1

Bend the triangular part of a wire clothes hanger into a circle. Untwist the hanger below the hooked end using a pair of needle nose pliers. Set aside the wreath frame.

    • 2

Separate 36 to 48 glass ornaments according to size and color. Remove any hooks from the hangers of the ornaments. Wash the surface of the ornaments with a damp cloth to remove dirt or fingerprints.

    • 3

Choose 12 glass ornaments -- look for those that are chipped, cracked or less attractive -- and spray glitter over the ball portion to add texture and sparkle. Set aside to dry.

    • 4

Use paper stencils that feature images that are size-appropriate to the ornaments to add details to the ornaments, if desired. Tape the stencils to the bottom end of six glass ornaments -- not from the 12 that you have sprayed with glitter -- using masking tape. Spray glitter onto the stencil. Allow it to dry before removing the stencil.

    • 5

Add hot glue around the seams between the hangers and ornaments to secure the metal hangers to the glass balls.

    • 6

Thread the ornaments on the end of the wire hanger opposite to the hook. Rotate the colors and sizes of the ornaments as you add each one so that no two of the same size or color are next to one another. Slide the ornaments to the back or sides as you add each one so they will form a full shape. Add ornaments until you have filled the wire form; you may not use all of the ornaments.

    • 7

Twist the ends of the wire hanger back together; use the needle nose pliers to get a secure connection. Use the hook at the top for the wreath hanger.
