Cutting a Latex Pillow
Cushion foam is available in many blends, and one of these is latex. Sometimes, latex foam is called memory foam depending on its mixture. Upholstery shops routinely cut all of these variations of foam using the same basic tools. One of the tools used by small shops is an electric carving knife, the kind most people have in their kitchen for carving large pieces of meat. Cutting the foam with this knife takes the work out of making a clean cut. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Measure the size of cushion you need for your project. Position the latex foam on a work table.

2
Place a straightedge on the top of the foam and mark out the dimensions. Use a straightedge to draw a straight line on the foam with a marker. If the cushion has curves, use a bendable curve to achieve the pattern you need.

Position the waste portion of the foam over the edge of the work table. The electric carving knife may hang below the foam on the bottom side.
