Instructions

    • 1

Run the blade of your razor knife around the edges of the paint roller sleeve where it sticks to the handle and cut or chip away any dried paint that appears to hold the roller sleeve to the roller.

    • 2

Pour paint thinner into your paint tray and submerge the roller in the paint thinner. Leave overnight.

    • 3

Wear gloves as you extract the paint roller from the tray and wash the paint thinner from the roller and roller sleeve. Dry with a towel.

    • 4

Use one hand to hold the roller handle in place while you use the other hand to wiggle and twist the roller sleeve in both directions to remove any lasting stuck paint. When you are sure the paint roller sleeve is not attached to the handle by bits of dried paint, pull the roller sleeve loose of the handle.
