How to Change Default Apps on the LG Optimus M
Certain functions of the Android operating system in the LG Optimus M are set to launch built-in applications automatically. Other functions are assigned to third-party apps that come with the phone. When you install a new app, the Optimus M will not ask you which app you want to use when you perform the action, it will simply launch the default app automatically. You can reset the default app through the phone's menus.

Press the "Menu" button on the Optimus M's home screen and touch "Settings."

Tap "Applications" and choose "Manage applications."

Tap the "All" tab and select the default application you want to replace.

Touch "Clear defaults" to remove the app as the default application. Next time you perform the action that would normally cause the application to launch, the phone will display a popup screen asking you to select the app you want to use.

Check the box labeled "Use by default for this action" and touch the app you want to set as the default.
