How to Clean Burned on Food on Stainless Steel Pots
Stainless steel pans provide even, high heat conductivity for a variety of cooking methods. Stainless steel cookware can go from the stove top to the oven, and with proper care will look great for years. With or without a non-stick coating, food can burn to pans when you cook. Pour enough water into the pan to cover the burnt-on food or at least an inch deep.

Add a tablespoon of citrus-free, gentle dish detergent. Heat the solution to boiling, reduce the heat and simmer it for 15 minutes.

Turn off the heat and let the pan rest until it cools to a lukewarm temperature. Drain the water solution from the pan. Wipe the inside with a sponge to remove any remaining food residue.

Rinse the pan well, then dry it completely.
