How to Hang an Eclipse Clock CB2

CB2 is the online division of Crate & Barrel, specializing in modern home furnishings and decor. The eclipse clock is a 39-inch diameter faceless black wall clock with the faintest traces of white around the edges, which replicates the look of an actual eclipse. The eclipse clock is powered by three AA batteries and has a built-in back-mounted hanger. It takes approximately 20 minutes to hang the eclipse wall clock.

Things You'll Need

• Stud finder
• 3-inch screw
• Hammer
• Phillips screwdriver
• Masonry screws

Instructions

1. Locate a stud in the wall using a stud finder; this is where to hang the clock if the wall is sheetrock. If a stud finder is not available simply rap on the wall with your knuckles until you locate a stud. Areas with no studs will sound and feel hollow when tapped, whereas an area where there is a stud will feel solid to the touch and will not echo when tapped.

2. Select the desired height to hang the clock.

3. Tap the edge of a 3-inch mounting screw lightly with a hammer to start it, and then drive the screw the rest of the way in with a Phillips screwdriver. Use masonry screws and a hammer to install if the wall is masonry.

4. Align the back mount hanger with the screw and set the clock down onto the screw.
