How to Make Eraser Earrings
School supplies are much more fashionable than they used to be, with products in bright colors and exciting prints. Erasers are no different. Since there are only so many things to erase, finding another use for cute erasers is imperative. One such unconventional use for erasers is creating earrings. Creating your own earrings allows you to choose your favorite erasers, personalize them and turn them into jewelry.

1
Choose two matching or similar erasers; companies like Lisa Frank make adorable shapes in bright colors. Make sure they are not too heavy; you do not want them to weigh down your ears.
-
2
Start from the bottom of one eraser and carefully push up the headpin through the top of the eraser. Try to keep the headpin as straight as possible; be careful not to go through the front or back of the eraser.

3
Pull the headpin through until the ending flat piece is touching the bottom of the eraser. Place a small crystal bead through the headpin and on top of the eraser.
-
4
Use pliers to bend the pin to make a small loop at the top, then wrap the remaining headpin above the bead and loop around two or three times. Cut off any excess headpin with wire cutters.
-
5
Attach an earring hook through the loop on top of the eraser and secure using pliers.
-
6
Repeat Steps 2 through 5 to turn the second eraser into a matching earring.
