How to Get Dog Fur Out of Carpet
Man's best friend also may be the housekeeper's struggle when it comes to dog fur in your carpet. Unless you vacuum several times per day, you may face some clumps that can get caked into the carpet fibers, making them difficult to remove. You do not need to struggle with dog fur spreading to your clothes and anything you place on the floor. You can remove the dog fur from your carpet even when your vacuum cannot. Slowly run the vacuum slowly the affected area. Rub a stiff-bristled brush over the area to break any matted fur away from the carpet. Remove the clumps of hair that come loose with the brush.

Use a lint roller or a strip of duct tape wrapped around your hand with the sticky side facing out to lift residual fur from the carpet after you brush the larger clumps from the area.

Dampen a kitchen towel with a small amount of water and vigorously rub it across the area to lift any fur still buried in the carpet, particularly if you are cleaning a plush carpet.

Tips & Warnings
Vacuum your carpet daily when possible to limit residual dog fur. Thoroughly brush your dog at least once a week, and more frequently during shedding when possible.
