How to Change the Belt for a Bissel ProHeat
The Bissell ProHeat is a steam cleaner that pumps cleaning solution and steam into carpeting to thoroughly wash the carpet, and suctions the moisture from the carpet to complete the cleaning process. Continuous use of the Bissell ProHeat can result in a broken pump belt, which prevents the machine from properly operating. The pump belt is easily accessed for replacement. Step on the power switch located on the back of the Bissell ProHeat machine and disconnect the power cable from the electrical outlet.

Insert the flat end of the screwdriver into the belt access door on the left side of the machine.

Lift off the belt access door and pull out the broken pump belt in the machine.

Loop one end of the new belt around the small prong inside of the machine, and loop the remaining end of the belt around the larger prong.

Line up the slots on the belt access door with the slots on the Bissell machine, and gently push the door back into place.
