How to Add a Table to a Web Page Using Netscape Composer

Use tables to arrange text, images and elements on a Web page using Netscape Composer, which is included in the Netscape Communicator package.

Things You’ll Need:

• Netscape Communicator

1. Start Composer and choose Open from the File menu. Locate the page you want and double-click to open it.
2. Position the cursor where the table will appear.
3. Open the Insert menu and choose Table, or click on the Table icon on the toolbar. A dialog box will appear.
4. Choose the properties and dimensions of the table from the options presented.
5. Add color or images to the table's background in the Table Background box. When finished, click OK.
6. Fill in the cells with text or graphics. Just click in a cell to type there.
7. Save the file and click on the Preview button to view it in the Netscape Navigator browser.

Tips & Warnings

• Remove the table border or any other element by unchecking the corresponding checkbox.
• "Cell padding" means the space around the cell. Keep in mind that this space is not filled with color if you use a background color when creating a table.
