How to Add a Table to a Web Page Using Netscape Composer

Use tables to arrange text, images and elements on a Web page using Netscape Composer, which is included in the Netscape Communicator package.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Netscape Communicator
  1. Step 1

    Start Composer and choose Open from the File menu. Locate the page you want and double-click to open it.

  2. Step 2

    Position the cursor where the table will appear.

  3. Step 3

    Open the Insert menu and choose Table, or click on the Table icon on the toolbar. A dialog box will appear.

  4. Step 4

    Choose the properties and dimensions of the table from the options presented.

  5. Step 5

    Add color or images to the table's background in the Table Background box. When finished, click OK.

  6. Step 6

    Fill in the cells with text or graphics. Just click in a cell to type there.

  7. Step 7

    Save the file and click on the Preview button to view it in the Netscape Navigator browser.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remove the table border or any other element by unchecking the corresponding checkbox.
  • "Cell padding" means the space around the cell. Keep in mind that this space is not filled with color if you use a background color when creating a table.
