How to Align Text in Blogspot

Use a blog to publicize your online portfolio.

The Blogspot website -- now part of Google's Blogger service -- allows you to create and publish blog posts on the Internet. Use the text-formatting tools included in this blogging platform to customize blog posts. The Alignment tool allows you to specify the way in which the blog post displays the text. Aligning the text in a post to the right, for example, justifies it against the right edge of the text box. You can change the alignment of the entire post, or limit the change to certain text in the post.

Instructions

1. Log in to your blog. Click the "Create New Post" button at the top of the window.

2. Click the "Alignment" button above the post text field.

3. Click "Align Left," "Align Right" or "Align Center" based on how you want the text to be positioned.

4. Type the text for the post into the text field.

Tips & Warnings

• To align text that you've already typed in, click and drag over the text to highlight it, then click the "Alignment" button and select an alignment.

• If you're working in HTML view, change the left value in the <div style="text-align: left;"> tag to center or right.
