Fairy Head Wreath
-
1
A fairy head wreath can be made with leaves instead of flowers. Lay the floral wire across your forehead where it feels comfortable. Bend the wire around your head to make a circle. Bring both ends of the wire to meet at the back of your head.
-
2
Hold the wire together with your fingers and remove it from your head. Twist the wire together so it's snug. Cut any extra wire to form a perfect circle and reinforce the bond with florist tape.
-
-
3
Trim the stems of the flowers and leaves, leaving at least 1 inch of stem to work with.
-
4
Tape the flowers to the wire circle. Use as few or as many flowers as you like and space them apart accordingly. Repeat the process with the leaves.
-
5
Cut the ribbon to its desired length. Tie the ribbon to the back of the head wreath.
Wizard Hat

6
If you choose, you don't have to put a brim on the wizard hat. Roll the poster board into a cone. Depending on the size of the person wearing it, you may need the poster board to be as big a sheet of newspaper. Place the opening on your head and adjust it to fit comfortably.
-
7
Hold the ends of the poster board together and remove the cone from your head. Draw a line with pencil along the edge where the poster board overlaps. Dispense a line of hot glue on the opposite side of the pencil mark. Press the overlap onto the glue to hold the cone together.
-
8
Hold the top of the felt at the tip of the cone and wrap the felt around the cone on each side. Pinch the felt together at the seam of the cone and trim the excess felt so it lies even with the seam on both sides. Place glue sporadically over the entire cone and attach the felt. Trim the felt hanging over the bottom of the cone.
-
9
Place the opening of the cone over the center of the foam plate. Draw a circle around the plate using the cone as a guide. Remove the cone and draw a second circle inside the first circle, making them about 1/2 inch apart. Cut out the inside circle and dispose of it. The outside ring will be used as the brim of the hat.
-
10
Cut out two pieces of black felt using the ring you cut from the plate as a pattern. Glue one piece of felt to each side of the ring. Place glue on the bottom edge of the cone and attach it to the ring. You should have 1/2 inch around the opening of the ring where the cone will sit.
-
11
Cut out half-moon and star shapes from the yellow felt. Glue the shapes to the cone hat.
