How to Change Facebook Profile Backgrounds
Facebook is a social networking website that allows you to create business, fan and personal pages with the ability to upload and post photos, videos and music. You can also connect with other Facebook users and add them to your Facebook "Friends" list. One thing Facebook does not allow is HTML coding in order to change your Facebook profile background. You can use the backgrounds offered through Pagerage, which uses technology that simulates a conversion and displays the new background of your choice.

Launch your computer's Web browser and navigate to Pagerage.com. Choose a category and navigate through the various backgrounds.

Choose the background you want by clicking "Select." Click "Save File" and save the file to your desktop.

Double-click the "PageRage" file to begin the installation. Click "Yes" when asked if you want to allow the program to make changes to your system.

Click "Next." Check the box next to "Yontoo Layers" and click "Install."

Click "Done" when the installation is complete. This closes your Web browser.

Re-open your Web browser and a window stating "Success! Yontoo Layers Has Been Installed." Navigate to facebook.com. Type your Facebook user name and password and click "Log In" to see your new profile background.
