Instructions

    • 1

Cut the bottoms off both of the plastic milk jugs. Mark a line going around the jugs about one quarter of the way up from the bottom with a permanent marker. Start the cut on the line with a knife, and continue cutting with the scissors until the bottoms are completely removed.

    • 2

Poke holes all around the brims of the milk jug bottoms with the thick needle. These will make it easier for you to sew in the zippered portion.

    • 3

Open the zipper and sew the first half into one of the milk jug bottoms with a sewing needle and thread. Repeat this process with the other half of the zipper and the other milk jug bottom. Zip up the zipper to close the purse.

Tips & Warnings

  • Add personalized touches to the milk jug purse, such as using acrylic paints to create colorful designs on the purse, or hot glue embellishments like beads or rhinestones. Make the purse into a handbag or shoulder bag by attaching straps or handles.
