Instructions

  1. Spray Problems

    • 1

Turn off the power switch, and refill the steamer’s bladder with clean water. If the bladder is out of water, the steamer will not spray.

    • 2

Remove the tank and reset it to ensure it is set properly into the steamer. The tank must be securely seated in the machine in order to pick up water to release spray.

    • 3

Wait at least one minute, and then turn the switch on again. Press the spray-release trigger located in the steamer’s handle to prime the pump. If the steamer still has reduced spray or no spray at all, the pump belt may be damaged.

    • 4

Use a flathead screwdriver to remove the screw in the belt access door located on the top of the steamer. The belt is looped around the motor shaft. If the brush or pump belt are broken or damaged, this can prevent the power brush from turning as well.

    • 5

Examine the belt for signs of wear or damage. If the belt is broken or if it is not there at all, order a replacement from Bissell. If it is not damaged, make sure it is properly placed on the motor, and replace the access door and tighten with the screwdriver.

    Not Picking Up Solution

    • 6

Lift the front of the steamer slightly to check the removable nozzle. If it is not attached properly, the steamer may not pick up the solution.

    • 7

Remove the nozzle, and then align the slots located on the base of the steamer with the hooks at the end of the nozzle. Attach the nozzle first at the base, then click it back into place.

    • 8

Empty the tank if it is full. Refill the bladder inside with hot tap water, and replace the tank on the steamer. Check the tank lid to ensure it is closed properly, and make sure the tank is properly set on the machine. If the steamer still won’t pick up the solution, your lint screen may be clogged.

    • 9

Turn off the steamer, and rotate the handle to the back of the machine to release the latch on the lid. Lift the tank off the base, and dump the collection water from the tank.

    • 10

Remove the lint screen located inside the tank. If this is clogged, the machine won’t pick up solution or dirt. Rinse the lint screen thoroughly to remove all debris and hair, then replace it and refill the tank to continue cleaning.

Tips & Warnings

  • Check your steamer’s filter monthly. Clean and replace it as needed to ensure your steamer runs at optimal efficiency.

  • The rotating brush on your steamer runs only when the brush switch is turned on and the steamer is in the reclined position.

  • Avoid applying heavy pressure on the TurboBrush tool. This may prevent the brush from rotating, which minimizes its cleaning action.
