Instructions

    • 1

Iron prewashed T-shirts to remove any wrinkles. Lay the T-shirt flat on a work surface. Insert a piece of cardboard inside the T-shirt to keep the paint from getting on the back of the shirt.

    • 2

Coat a football stamp with fabric paint, using a foam paintbrush. Press the stamp firmly on the T-shirt. Lift the stamp straight up to avoid blurring the image.

    • 3

Outline the stamped football with dimensional fabric paint. Add a favorite football team name with the dimensional fabric paint. Allow the paint to dry completely.

    • 4

Turn the T-shirt over, and work on the back. Spell out the child's name at the top of the T-shirt with dimensional fabric paint. Paint a number on the center of the T-shirt. Allow the paint to dry. Follow the manufacturer's directions for the heat setting of the fabric paints.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use iron-on numbers and letters instead of using dimensional paints.

  • Use stencils as an alternative to stamping and hand lettering.

  • Always prewash new T-shirts before decorating to remove the chance of sizing.
