Instructions

    • 1

Select a lobster clasp with the same type of metal as your necklace such as silver, gold or copper. For a heavy necklace, choose a large lobster clasp and only use a small lobster clasp for very lightweight necklaces.

    • 2

Open two jump rings using flat-nose pliers; grasp the jump ring with the pliers near the opening with your thumb and forefinger on the opposite side of the opening using your other hand and pull the two sides out in opposite directions.

    • 3

Loop one open jump ring through the last link of your necklace or bracelet chain and close the jump ring. For the opposite side of the chain do the same thing, but also add the lobster clasp's loop to the open jump ring before closing it.
