Superhero Face Paint
The majority of superheroes have secret identities they assume when they're taking a break from saving the world. Many wear masks when battling bad guys to protect their alter egos. If you're dressing up as a superhero, add the final touches to your costume with a face-paint mask. Tailor your face paint to complement your costume, or go with a classic black mask. Your secret identity will remain safe until you wash the mask off at the end of the night.

Superhero Mask
-
1
Clean your face with baby wipes to prepare your skin for the paint. Pat your skin dry with a towel.
-
2
Load a small, thin paintbrush with face paint. Outline the shape of the mask on your face, looking into a mirror to help guide you. Paint two half circles — one beneath each eye — with the round part closest to the cheek. Connect them over the bridge of your nose. Paint two more half-circles — one above each eyebrow — with the round part closest to the forehead. Connect them in the center of the forehead. Paint two lines to connect the top and bottom parts of the mask on either side of the face between the corner of the eyes and the hairline.

3
Fill in the mask outline with a face paint color of your choice using a large, broad paintbrush. Work carefully to ensure an even coat of paint across the surface. Clean your brush in a cup filled with water before changing paint colors.

4
Add embellishments to your mask, if desired. Press large sequins or rhinestones into the paint while still wet for a more glamorous superhero. Wait until the paint is dry to add layers of painted details, such as stars, lightning bolts or flowers. Use the opposite end of your paintbrush for smaller details.
Superhero Logos

5
Display an "S" for Superman or Supergirl inside an upside down pentagon. Outline the pentagon — which has five sides — on your cheek with yellow paint and a small paintbrush. Be sure the pointed end of the pentagon is aimed toward your jawline. Fill in the pentagon with yellow paint. Once the yellow paint is dry, use red paint and a small brush to go around the edges of the pentagon and for the "S" inside the shape, which should touch the insides of the outline. Add your own initial if it isn't "S" for a personalized but still recognizable superhero logo.

6
Emphasize your Batman or Batgirl costume with the superhero's classic icon on your cheek. Paint a yellow, horizontally elongated oval with a medium paintbrush. Wait for the paint to dry. Create a bat using black paint and a small, thin brush. Curve the outside edges of the two wings with the curve of the yellow oval, then add pointed wingtips. In the center of the oval, paint a head with two pointed ears. Fill in the entire bat with black paint.

Show your love for creepy crawlies with a Spider-Man logo. Use a small brush loaded with black paint to draw an inverted, elongated triangle for the spider's body. Add two tiny triangles at the top for fangs. Paint four legs — two on either side of the body — bent and pointed upward and attached to the top half of the body. Paint four more legs — two on either side — bent and pointed downward and attached to the bottom half of the body.

Tips & Warnings
Quickly touch up any mistakes by dabbing stray paint with a baby wipe. Remove the superhero face paint with baby wipes at the end of the night.
Take care when applying paint close to the eye area. Consider leaving an ample outline around the eyes for small children.
