How to Link to a Facebook Event
Facebook events allow you to share happenings with your friends and other users on Facebook. When an event is created through Facebook, the site creates a permanent link that corresponds with the event’s page, allowing you to link to the event from a third-party Web page. Additionally, Facebook provides features for linking to the event from within the social networking site, meaning you can link to the event on your Wall or other pages.

Go online to Facebook.com and sign in to your account.

Click the “Search” text field, type the name of the event and click the event in the drop down menu.

Highlight the address of the Facebook event in the URL text field, right-click the highlighted text and select “Copy.”

Open the HTML document that corresponds to the site where you want to insert the event’s link in, place the cursor where you want the link to appear, type <a href=”XXX”> and replace “XXX” with the URL by right-clicking and selecting "Paste."

Type the name of the event followed by </a>. Upload the HTML document to your server to post the link.

Click “Share” near the event’s header and click the “Share” drop-down menu in the pop-up window to select where on Facebook you want to link to the event. The drop-down menu provides options for posting to your Wall, posting the link to your friend’s Wall, posting the link to a Group’s page or sending the link in a private message to another user.
