      Open the hood and disconnect the negative terminal cable from the battery, to reduce risk of shock and damage to electrical components. Remove the 15-amp fuse from the fuse holder near the battery terminals.

      Locate the Gargoyle car alarm’s control module. Common areas for installation include the underside of the driver's side or passenger's side dashboard or underneath the front seats.

      Disconnect the wiring from the control module. Unbolt the module from its mounting area with a socket wrench and remove it from the vehicle. Reconnect the negative terminal cable onto the battery.
