Hang a shelf on the wall of your apartment kitchen. Choose a space on the wall that you can easily access so that the shelf is both useful and decorative. Place your canisters on the shelf to free up counter space. Another option is to place cook books or a collection of attractive serving dishes on the shelf.

Hang metal hooks on the wall underneath a row of cabinets or above your stove. Hang your cooking utensils, such as spatulas, whisks, serving spoons and measuring spoons, on the hooks. Purchase attractive utensils, such as utensils in bright colors, to make the decoration look as cute as it is useful.

Hang a mirror on the wall in your kitchen. Mirrors are often used to make small spaces appear larger, so this is a good option for a small kitchen. If your kitchen has a window, place the mirror where it will reflect the light that comes through the window. This will reflect more natural light into the kitchen.

Frame pictures and hang them in a collection on the walls of your kitchen. Place them on a free wall with no other cabinets. If you don't have such a wall, hang them above or below your cabinets.
