How to Make Fleece Diaper Inserts
Use cloth diapers for a green alternative to disposable diapers and to save money by not having to buy diapers frequently. Cloth diapers are available in multiple sizes and patterns and even come with different materials both to make the outside, or the shell, of the diaper and the inside soaker or liner that touches baby's skin. Fleece is a common choice for a liner because it wicks moisture away from the skin, reducing chances of irritation or diaper rash. Fleece also dries quickly and holds up well while washing.

1
Purchase microfleece from an arts and crafts store; 3/8 of a yard yields approximately 13 liners, so adjust the amount depending on how many liners you want.
-
2
Draw a line 12 inches long on the left and right sides of the fabric.
-
-
3
Draw another line 4.5 inches long along the bottom and along the top.
-
4
Connect the lines to form a rectangle.
-
5
Cut the rectangle out and it is ready to use. Lay it inside your diaper for added protection, especially during the night when heavy wetting occurs.
