Instructions

    • 1

Wipe up excess milk with paper towels. Attempt this step even if the milk has been left in the oven long enough to dry.

    • 2

Sprinkle baking soda directly over the area where the milk stain remains.

    • 3

Mist the baking soda with the water in your spray bottle. Be sure to make the area wet, but do not saturate it to the point of creating a puddle.

    • 4

Allow the mixture to set overnight. Brush off the excess baking soda the next morning with a scrub brush. Use a wet sponge to remove the rest of the stain and baking soda.

Tips & Warnings

  • If a bad smell remains, sprinkle the area with lemon juice. Allow the lemon juice to penetrate the area for 15 minutes and then spray with water. Wipe away the lemon-water mixture with a paper towel or sponge.

  • Curdled or spoiled milk stains may be very harsh to the nose. Wear a mask and throw away the sponge or paper towel used for the process immediately. Do not leave the items in the indoor trash can; take them outside to avoid spreading the smell indoors.
