1
Sketch the letters of the name on paper to serve as your pattern. Make each letter 1 1/2 to 2 inches high. Remember that the letters must be continuous.
-
2
Measure the wire. A hanger with a four-letter name requires about 60 inches of wire. Each additional letter requires about 12 inches. This will most likely be more than enough, and the excess can be cut off.

3
Bend the end of the wire to form the hooked top shape of a hanger, using the premade hanger as your guide. Create a U-shaped notch on the left-hand top slope of the hanger to hold the strap of the dress, using the needle-nose pliers. Bend the wire at the left corner to form the horizontal base of the hanger.
-
4
Bend the wire to form the letters along the base of the hanger, using the pliers. Use batteries and other round objects to shape the loops.
-
5
Form the right corner and the top right-hand slope of the hanger, including another U-shaped notch. To finish the hanger, wrap the wire around the base of the hook, and cut off the excess wire with the cutting pliers.
