How to Camouflage Corns on Your Feet

How to Camouflage Corns on Your Feet thumbnail
If you have corns on your feet, you might want to have the sauna to yourself.

Like calluses, corns build up on your feet as the result of friction, either between toes or between your toe and your shoe. The primary difference between a corn and a callus is that a corn is thicker, standing up like a small corn kernel. Corns are painful and can become unsightly. If you're still waiting to get your corns removed, though, you can cover them up in the short term on a night when you need to wear open-toed shoes or on an afternoon when you want to wear sandals. Does this Spark an idea?

Use an emery board to sand the corn gently, just after you get out of a warm bath or shower. You can stop sanding when the corn's texture begins to soften. In between showers, make a warm Epsom salt bath and soak your corns in it two or three times a day, for 20 minute each time. To prepare the bath, mix a half cup of Epsom salt with warm water in a foot bath pan.

Rub moisturizing lotion into the corn to soften it even further. Put some lotion on your fingers and rub gently into the corn's surface. The softer it is, the less obvious it will be to others. Lotion that has lanolin will be the most effective with your corn.

Apply podiatry concealer to the corn right after putting moisturizing lotion on it. Most pharmacies will carry this type of makeup. Most brands of podiatry concealer will not leach off your foot if you perspire.
