How to Upgrade a Cyberlink YouCam

You can use an internal or external webcam with Cyberlink YouCam software.

CyberLink YouCam is a popular webcam application that allows you to insert a variety of effects in a video call, take a snapshot or record a personal webcam video. As of September 2011, YouCam 5 is the most recent version of the webcam software. Instead of purchasing YouCam 5 at full price, CyberLink allows you to upgrade to the newest version at a discounted rate. After purchasing the upgrade, you can install the software on your PC in a few hassle-free steps.

Instructions

1. Launch your preferred Web browser and visit the CyberLink YouCam website.

2. Click the “Upgrade Now” button on the main page.

3. Select the version of the YouCam software you currently have. As of September 2011, CyberLink allows you to save 20 percent when upgrading to the Deluxe or Standard version of YouCam 5.

4. Click the “Add to Cart” button.

5. Enter your billing information and select a payment method, such as a credit card or PayPal. After enter your payment information, click the “Secure Order” button at the bottom of the page.

6. Click the “Downloads” button and save the CyberLink YouCam software to your computer. The file will be saved to your “Downloads” folder.

7. Open the “Downloads” folder. Double-click the CyberLink YouCam setup file to install the webcam software on your PC.
