With a few keystrokes you can change the orientation of your computer screen. Whether your intention is to play a practical joke on a friend or coworker or just to adjust your monitor to a new screen, learning how to flip the screen is a good idea. You can use the same technique if you accidentally flip your screen and need to restore it to its proper orientation. Does this Spark an idea?

      Log on to your computer. Click "Start" and then "Control Panel."

      Double-click the "Display" icon and scroll through the tabs. Look for a rotation box or setting on each tab.

      Change the rotation setting according to how you want to flip the screen. If you want to flip the screen upside down, you would choose 180 for 180 degrees. If you want to rotate the monitor 90 degrees type a 90 in the box. Click "OK" to see your changes.

      Hover your mouse over the icons in the system tray at the lower right hand side of the screen if you do not see a rotation setting in the display properties. Right-click on the display adapter icon and look for a rotation option. Choose the level of rotation you want and then click "OK."
