How to Get Kmail to Use a Kwallet

Linux's K Desktop Environment uses both the Kmail and Kwallet applications to manage contacts, schedules and email addresses. By integrating Kwallet witn Kmail, you'll be able to quickly access your contacts and data when composing a new email address. This integration is accomplished through the Kontact personal information manager, which comes standard with all KDE installations.

Instructions

1. Click the K icon on the lower-left corner of your desktop panel.

2. Type "kontact" and select it to open the program.

3. Click "Tools," then "Options."

4. Click the "Integration" button.

5. Check "Integrate Kwallet with Kontact Applications."

6. Type your Kwallet password when prompted, then press "Enter." The programs are now integrated.
