How to Us Animoto As a YouTube Intro

You can create a Animito video to use as an introduction for your YouTube video. If you are using a free Animito account you are limited to a 30-second video which is the perfect length for a YouTube video introduction. Once you have your intro video you can upload it to YouTube and use the YouTube Video Editor to finalize your video.

Instructions

Create Animoto Video

1. Go to animoto.com, sign into your account and click the "Create Video" button. On the next page click the "Upload" button to upload images or video clips from your computer.

2. Organize your photos. Click a photo and while holding down the mouse button drag the image to the desired location in the photo organizer view. Do this for each photo you want to reorganize.

3. Click the vertical "Music" tab to add music to your Animoto video, then click the "Select" button and browse for a song. Click the "Select" link to add that song to your video.

4. Click the vertical "Finalize" tab, then choose the speed options and video style and click the "Continue" button. On the next page give the video a title and description. When ready, click the "Create Video" button. It may take several minutes for your video to process.

5. Click the "Export" button below the video player. On the pop-up box and click the "Begin Export" button next to the YouTube option. A new window opens with YouTube asking to give permission to the Animito. Click the "Allow Access" button to proceed.

Finalize Your Video

1. Go to youtube.com, then sign into your account and click your username at the top of the page. Click the "Videos" option to see your uploaded views. Verify the Animito video you created has successfully uploaded to the site.

2. Click the "Video Editor" tab. Find the Animito video, then click and drag it to the bottom video timeline section. Repeat this process for one or more videos you want to add to the final video.

3. Click the text field box next to the "Project" button and type a title for your new video. When ready, click the "Publish" button. YouTube may take several minutes to create your video but when it's done it'll appear on your channel with your other videos.
