How to Print on a Zebra LP 2844 IP Printer
You can print on your Zebra LP 2844 IP thermal label printer in the same manner as you would from any standard printer. While the LP 2844 is intended to print documents such as shipping labels, it is recognized by your Windows 7 computer as a standard printer. However, your computer does not natively recognize the Zebra LP 2844 when you connect it, so you need to manually install the printer driver before connecting the printer to your computer.

Navigate to the Zebra LP 2844 IP Printer "Downloads" page at Zebra.com.

Click the "ZebraDesigner-Driver-32_64-bit-Windows-Certified" link in the "Drivers" section of the window, click the blue "Accept and Begin Download Now" button, then save the file to your computer.

Double-click the downloaded file, then click the "Unzip" button at the top right corner of the popup window.

Click the "Start" button at the bottom right corner of the window, then click "Devices and Printers."

Click "Add a Printer" at the top of the window.

Click "Add a Local Printer," select a port for the printer and click "Next."

Click the "Have Disk" button, then click the "Browse" button.

Click "Computer" at the left side of the window, double-click the "C" drive icon, then double-click the "ZD2663" folder.

Double-click the "ZBRN" folder, double-click the folder corresponding to your version of Windows 7, then click the "Open" button.

Click the "OK" button, click the "ZDesigner TLP 2844" option from the list of printers, then click the "Next" button.

Click "Next," click "Next" again, then click "Finish."

Connect the Zebra LP 2844 printer cable to the serial port on your computer, then turn on your Zebra LP 2844 printer.

Open a program from which you can print, such as a word processing program, and press "Ctrl" and "P" at the same time.

Click the "ZDesigner TLP 2844" option from the list of printers, then click the "Print" button.

Tips & Warnings
If you do not have a serial port on your computer, purchase a Serial to USB cable that will allow you to connect the printer cable to a USB port on your computer.
