How to Add Pandora Music to Tumblr


As a Pandora user you create a great deal of content -- radio stations, favorite artists and songs -- that you might enjoy sharing with readers of your Tumblr blog. For this reason Pandora has developed sidebar widgets compatible with any blog that accepts custom HTML code. Select a Pandora widget and add it to your Tumblr blog to display your favorite music for your readers.

  • Open a Web browser and navigate to Scroll down to the "Add Pandora to your blog sidebar" heading.

  • Select the widget that you would like to display on your Tumblr blog. Pandora has widgets to display your bookmarked songs, bookmarked artists or stations that you have created.

  • Click a radio button under "Select a template" to choose the desired appearance for the widget.

  • Type the email address associated with your Pandora account in the "Listener's Email" field.

  • Click the drop-down menu under "Max no. of (songs, artists or stations)" and select the number of items that you want to display on the widget.

  • Click the drop-down menu under "Time Period" and select the time period that the widget should draw data from.

  • Click the "Include station creation form" if you want the widget to include information to help your readers create their own Pandora stations.

  • Click the "Generate HTML" button. A block of HTML code appears in a new field below. Highlight and right-click the code. Select "Copy" on the context menu.

  • Log in to in a new browser window or tab. Click the title of your blog at the top of the dashboard page, then click "Customize Appearance" on the right.

  • Click "Info" in the top-left corner of the blog customization page. Right-click the "Description" field below, and select "Paste" on the context menu. The Pandora widget code appears in the field.

  • Click the "Save + Close" button in the top-right corner of the page.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you do not see the Pandora widget in your sidebar after creating it, you may have privacy enabled in Pandora to prevent others from viewing your created content. Click the "Account" link at the top of the screen after logging in to Click the "Privacy" tab, then click to place a check in the box labeled "Make my listening activity public." Click the "Save Now" button.
