How to Get Karu in "Fantage"

The virtual world of "Fantage" is for children ages 6 to 14.

In the online social game "Fantage," players buy different eggs and hatch them to obtain virtual pets. Depending on the settings and type of egg, different pets may emerge, including Karu from the Barnacle series. These animated pets incubate in the barn for a set period of time, and the hatching time decreases as players level up and spend more time on "Fantage." After a pet hatches, the player can take it to Pet Town to participate in one of the mini games, such as "Wild Racer."

Instructions

1. Open your Web browser and navigate to fantage.com, log into your "Fantage" account and click the "World Map" icon in the lower left corner of the screen. Click "Pet Town" just south of Mt. Fantage to teleport there instantly.

2. Enter the pet shop, then click the farmer in the brown hat to open the pet catalog. Select the "Eggs" tab on the catalog and buy a Red Ribbon Egg.

3. Click the "My Home/Barn" icon in the lower left corner to return home, then click the small red barn in the corner of the screen.

4. Click the heater or the light to bring up your control panel. Drag the slider by the lamp to the "Highest Light" setting and drag the temperature slider to "Hot." This particular setting with the Red Ribbon Egg hatches Karu. Click "Done" when finished.

5. Wait until Karu hatches; he's a yellow sea-themed pet that blows bubbles. Click on him, then select "Add to Home" to transfer him to your house.

Tips & Warnings

• You can also purchase Karu with eCoins and a magic code. Pull up the pet shop catalog by clicking the "Buy Magic Codes" sticky on your barn wall and click the "Magic Codes" tab. Flip to the Barnacles, click on Karu, then select the hatching time and pay the required eCoins.

• Click the "How to Get Pets" sticky on the barn wall to learn about feeding and playing with your pet.

• If the Red Ribbon Egg is unavailable, you need to hatch lower-level eggs or buy a premium membership to unlock it.

• Changing the control settings resets the hatching timer.
