Access to the Android Market is available on boxes and standalone sets by Logitech and Sony.

Google TV was originally designed with a select few applications built into the television boxes and standalone TV sets. Starting in 2011, Google is also offering the ability to add applications from the Android Market to Google TVs. Whether you have a system that originally did not have this access, or a new system that comes with it, you can access Android applications available in the Market.

Instructions

    • 1

Allow Google to update your Google TV Logitech or Sony Blu-ray box, or your standalone Sony Google TV to Honeycomb, Android 3.1. Google includes access to the Android Market along with this update. New models may come with Honeycomb already installed. Your Google TV must be plugged into the Internet for Google to provide updates.
