1
Spray a leave-in conditioner in your hair prior to drying it and brush it through. This protects your hair from the heat of your hair dryer.
-
2
Clip all of your hair to the top of your head with the exception for the 2 inches of hair at the bottom of your head.
-
-
3
Place a medium size round brush underneath one section at a time of the hair you left down. Pull the hair outward with the brush and blow dry that section completely. Use a regular hair dryer or one with a directional nozzle on the end. Use the medium or high level of your hair dryer for faster drying.
-
4
Turn the hair dryer to the cool setting for one quick dry after each section of hair is completely dry. This locks in the smoothness of your hair.
-
5
Let down one section of hair at a time to blow dry until you have dried your entire head of hair.
-
6
Run a flat iron over each section of your hair once your entire head of hair is completely dry; fit a medium section of hair into the flat iron at a time. Hold the iron tightly while using a vertical motion to pull it along each section of hair.
-
7
Spray a light mist of flexible hold hairspray over your hair when finished.
