How to Get the Last Chaos Emerald in "Sonic Colors" for the DS
In the “Sonic the Hedgehog” franchise, Chaos Emeralds are gems that grant Sonic the ability to transform into Super Sonic. In “Sonic Colors” for the Nintendo DS, one of your objectives is to collect all seven of these rare items. If you complete the Terminal Velocity stage with all of the Chaos Emeralds in your possession, you will unlock the game’s true ending cut scene. While obtaining the first six emeralds requires you to collect rings in each of game’s main zones, grabbing the final emerald demands a different strategy.

1
Select the “Game Land” area from the game’s level select screen.
-
2
Play through the Eggman’s Sonic Simulator. In this challenge, you’ll need to defeat a computer player in a race through an obstacle course.
-
-
3
Collect 50 rings before you reach the finish line of the course. The course will be reminiscent of the Tropical Resort Stage of the main game.
-
4
Select “Yes” when a dialogue box asks if you would like to proceed to Special Stage Seven, which places you on a racing track littered with orbs, bumpers and spikes.
-
5
Collect 90 of the designated colored orbs before you reach the end of the track. For example, if the objective asks for 90 blue orbs, only aim for the blue ones. Hitting spiked orbs will decrease your collection. After you complete three rounds of this mini-game, you will receive the final Chaos Emerald.
