How to Improve a Marik Structure Deck
The Marik Structure Deck for the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game is one of the most powerful starter decks ever created for the game. Although there are a near-infinite number of ways to change a deck for the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game, there are some basic changes that can be made to this strong beginner's deck to help make it competitive at higher levels of competition.
Things You'll Need
- 2 Yu-Gi-Oh! Structure Deck: Marik
- 3 Gravekeeper's Stele cards
- 3 Right of Spirit cards
- 3 Gravekeeper's Recruiter cards
- 1 Morphng Jar card
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Legendary Collection (optional)
- Assorted Yu-Gi-Oh! cards
Instructions
-
-
1
Remove Temple of the Kings from the deck. It is banned from advanced format tournament play, so you should be certain that, at the very minimum, your deck is legal.
-
2
Add Gravekeeper support cards. These include Gravekeepers Stele, Right of Spirit and Gravekeeper Recruiter. These cards allow you to bring Gravekeepers from your deck or graveyard to your hand, and are not affected by your Necrovalleys.
-
-
3
Add multiple copies of key cards. Necrovalley prevents your opponent from targeting cards in your graveyard, and also adds bonuses to all "Gravekeeper’s" monsters. The aforementioned Gravekeepers Stele is a very useful card to have in multiples.
-
4
Add Morphing Jar to your deck. Because Gravekeeper's Visionary gains strength according to the number of "Gravekeeper’s" monsters in your graveyard, use Morphing Jar to put a whole handful of these monsters into your graveyard and get a large attack boost.
-
5
Consider adding the Winged Dragon of Ra. This Ultra-Rare card is found in the Legendary Collection, and can be very powerful under the proper circumstances, as it is able to attack all monsters simultaneously and is unaffected by trap cards, spell cards and monster effects.
