How to Make Makeup Wax
Makeup wax serves as a versatile base for doing extreme cosmetic applications and costume makeup for Halloween or theater. It can either be latex based or completely natural, giving you the opportunity to protect your complexion while you use it. Knowing how to make your own makeup wax gives you the ability to create custom makeup looks without spending an arm and a leg on professionally-blended wax makeup.

1
Combine the beeswax pastilles and coconut carrier oil in a glass bowl. Microwave the contents of the bowl for a total of three minutes. This melts it into a thin liquid.
-
2
Stir in the guar gum powder and vegetable glycerin with a disposable stirring wand. Make sure to beat the contents briskly so as to thoroughly break apart and disperse the powder. These ingredients can all be purchased in a craft or hobby supply store. The vegetable glycerin will help mix it and also aide in rendering the wax solution into a gummy gel.
