How to Avoid Runs in Tights
Women often wear tights to work or for a night out on the town. They add flare to your wardrobe, make your legs look beautiful and protect your legs when it’s cold outside. Since the fabric of tights is more flimsy than other materials, they are more likely to get runs in them when snagged on sharp objects. Women can save money on replacing tights by learning tips to avoid damaging them. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

1
Don’t store them in a drawer made of wood or other material that will easily snag the tights.
-
2
Purchase tights with more durable material. The more sheer the tights, the more likely they are to acquire runs.
-
-
3
Use extra care when putting tights on or taking them off. Your fingernails can easily snag your tights and cause runs. Wear gloves if you have excessively long nails.
-
4
Wash tights by hand rather than in the washing machine. Wring them out and let them air dry.
-
5
Avoid walking near sharp edges to prevent your tights from getting caught on them.
-
6
Purchase tights in the correct size. If they are too small you have to do more tugging to get them on, which can cause runs.
-
7
Cut your toenails so the tights won’t get snagged as you pull them over your feet. Curl your toes down while putting on the tights if you don’t have time to cut your nails.
-
8
Apply clear nail polish to the area if a small run begins. This prevents it from spreading.
