Cleaning Le Chameau Rain Boots
Le Chameau rubber rain boots are so rugged and reliable that they can be worn for camping and fishing trips as well as for protection against rain while walking on city streets or country roads. Various models are available that are lined with fabric, leather or fur for even more protection against the elements. Cleaning and caring for Le Chameau boots is simple. You can remove dirt and grime by washing them with water. Spraying the boots with a silicone spray such as that manufactured by Le Chameau lubricates the zipper and prolongs the life of the boot. 1
Spray Le Chameau boot care spray or a similar silicone-based shoe care product along the teeth of the zippers on your boots the first time you wear them. Hold the can about 3 inches from the zipper and move it along the zipper as you spray. Open and close the zipper once or twice after you spray it so that the lubricant is distributed along the zipper.
-
2
Rinse your Le Chameau boots whenever they become dirty or soiled with clean, cool water from a garden hose outside or in your utility sink indoors. Make sure to rinse the zipper and inner tongue as well as the outside surface of the boot.

-
3
Fill the boots with newspaper and allow them to dry naturally if the lining becomes wet. Do not place the boot near a source of artificial heat or in direct sunlight to speed the drying process.
-
4
Spray the boots and the zippers with Le Chameau boot care spray or a similar product before you wear the boots again. Repeat the steps whenever the boots become dirty. Spray the boots again with the care spray if the finish begins to appear dull.
