Sewing Instructions for a Nun's Veil
If you are planning to dress as a nun for Halloween, your costume won't be complete without the black and white veil. Costume shops can be pricey, and you may not want to spend hard-earned money on an outfit you will only wear once. Since nuns' veils are not made with expensive fabrics or fancy stitches, you can make your own at home with little sewing experience for a fraction of the price of its store-bought counterpart.

-
2
Measure a 2-foot-long piece of black fabric as wide as the circumference as the headband. Cut out the fabric.
-
-
3
Pin the black fabric to the top of the inside of the the white headband so the width of the fabric wraps around the inner circumference of the headband.
-
4
Sew the black fabric into place. Try not to stretch the headband as you sew.
-
5
Place the headband over your head. The black fabric will drape over your shoulders.
