How to Bobble Stitch Crochet Warmers
Crocheted warmers can be made to keep either your arms or your legs warm during the cold winter months. You can make them to any length or width to accommodate your size and the part of the body you wish to cover. Crocheted bobbles, or small gatherings of stitches, help add texture and detail to your warmers. When crocheting your own warmers, add bobbles in a row wherever you like.

1
Chain stitch enough stitches so the warmer is of the desired width; then chain stitch three additional stitches.
-
2
Work the warmer in a half treble stitch by inserting the hook in the third stitch from the end and looping your yarn around the hook. Pick up the next stitch; then loop the yarn around the hook again. Pull one stitch through the loop so there are three loops remaining on the hook. Wrap the yarn around the hook again and pull the three loops through the stitch. Repeat this for all the stitches on the chain.

3
Begin the next row on the first stitch; then half treble stitch across the row. Repeat this for several rows until you reach the place on the warmer where you want to create the bobbles.
-
4
Create your bobble row by working on the wrong side of the warmer. Single crochet the first stitch; then make the first part of a double crochet in the second stitch by yarning over, creating a loop, yarning over and looping again, then pulling the last two loops through the first loop so one loop remains on the hook. Repeat this four times in the same stitch; then yarn over and pull the last last loop through all five remaining loops on the hook. Repeat this for all the stitches across your work.
-
5
Continue alternating half treble and bobble rows, with at least one half treble row between bobble rows, until your warmer is the desired length.
-
6
Finish on a half treble row; then loop the yarn around the hook and cut it at about 6 inches in length. Pull the yarn through the final stitch to create a knot and weave in the ends.
-
7
Stitch the two sides of the warmers together to create a tube. Stitch on the wrong side of the warmers and weave in the excess yarn.
