How to Reupholster an RV Wall
Upholstering an RV wall is not a difficult process. There are several reasons why you may want to replace the existing fabric on an RV wall. If the fabric is stained or mildewed, new fabric can improve the interior appearance. Over time, patterns and colors start to look dated. You can make an RV look newer by changing the upholstery fabric color on the walls. Reupholstering walls is much less complicated than reupholstering furniture, and should take just a day or two to complete.

1
Remove the original fabric by removing any staples holding the fabric in place and unscrewing any trim pieces near the upholstered wall. Throw away the old upholstery.
-
2
Measure the wall that you want to cover with fabric. Cut a piece of polyester batting to fit this measurement. Cut a piece of fabric the same measurement. If you have to sew several pieces of fabric together, make sure to add enough extra fabric for a seam allowance. Use a 1/4 inch seam allowance to hold multiple pieces of fabric together.

3
Glue the batting to the wall with craft glue. Allow the glue to dry overnight before adding the fabric.

4
Start in the corner of the wall. Staple the fabric into the corner. Stretch the fabric down and add a new staple every 2 inches. Stretch the fabric horizontally to staple the sides in place.
-
5
Cover the staples by gluing bias tape over the staples with fabric glue. Replace any trim pieces using the screwdriver.
