How to Convert Adabas to Db2
Adabas is one of the earliest commercially available database systems. It was released with IBM mainframe systems such as DOS/360. Adabas is now working with systems like OpenVMS, Linux and UNIX. An Adabas database is a selection of data contained in Adabas files. An Adabas database includes three system files: data storage, associating and work storage. The IBM Db2 Enterprise Server Edition is a relational model database server developed by IBM. It mainly runs on UNIX, Linux and IBM I, z/OS, Windows Servers. It is a relational database management system. There are various ways to convert from Adabas to DB2 such as the ATERAS Adabas conversion, Sandpiper solution and ADA2 solution. However, the conversion process is complex as there is a need to construct the relational tables for Adabas files.
