How to Replace the Pump for a General Electric WPSQ4160T6WW
When the washer fills up, the water flows from the inlet hoses into the tub, and a solenoid switch turns off the water flow when there is enough water in the tub to complete the cycle. When the cycle is complete, the pump must drain the tub so the washer can go through the spin cycle. If the pump fails on the General Electric WPSQ4160T6WW washing machine, it will not drain properly. In order to replace the pump, you need to remove the back from the washer. The project requires no special tools and those you will need are in most home toolboxes. Does this Spark an idea?
