How to Make a 3D Zombie
A 3D zombie has the same shape and basic size as a regular 3D figure of a person. The only differences are in how the figure is accessorized and decorated. One of the best materials to use to create a hard 3D zombie is polymer clay. This clay creates shapes without problems, bakes quickly and is effortless to use with a variety of accessories and embellishments, including paint and cloth.

1
Build an armature for the zombie from craft wire and aluminum foil. Use the craft wire like a skeleton. Wrap the wire with aluminum foil to make the basic outline of the zombie. Some zombies have abnormally large heads, hands or feet. If you want to make a comical zombie, give it these characteristics. Otherwise, make the body look like a normal person.

2
Cover the armature in a thin layer of masking tape to make it easier for the clay to adhere to the surface.

3
Roll some polymer clay to a thickness of about one-quarter inch. Wrap the body with the clay. Shape the clay with clay shapers into the desired shapes, such as holes for rotting flesh or where the bones peak through the zombie’s skin.
-
4
Place the zombie on a cookie sheet. Cook in a 225 degree Fahrenheit oven for 20 minutes per quarter-inch of thickness. Allow the clay to cool.
-
5
Paint the zombie the desired color. Many zombies are green, while others look more life-like. Allow the paint to dry.
-
6
Glue fake hair to the top of the zombie’s head. Cut scraps of cloth to drape over the body like clothing. Leave the fabric scraps ragged, for a more zombie-like appearance, as if the body had been dead for a while. Allow the glue to dry before displaying the zombie.
