How to Clean an Aluminum Crock Pot
Adding an aluminum Crock Pot to your list of kitchen appliances can be a smart move. With a slow cooker, you can start your meal before you leave for work in the morning and have your food waiting for you when you return. As with any cooking appliance, however, an aluminum Crock Pot will only last if it is properly cleaned and maintained. Unplug the aluminum Crock Pot and allow it to cool before removing the crock for cleaning. Carefully remove the lid from the Crock Pot and lift the aluminum crock out.

Place the aluminum crock in the sink and rinse it with hot soapy water. You want to clean the crock as soon as possible after use, while still allowing it to cool a bit before washing.

Remove suck on food from the aluminum Crock Pot by first allowing it to cool, then filling it with hot soapy water. Allow the hot soapy water to sit in the crock for at least 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Repeat as needed until the cooked on food is gone.

Scrape any remaining food away with a nylon pad or scraper. Do not use metal scrapers or cleaning pads, since they could scratch and damage the aluminum.
