The Frigidaire ice maker, located on the front door of the refrigerator, dispenses filtered water as well as crushed or cubed ice when in use and can be disabled by way of the appliance's control panel. The ice maker's on/off switch allows you to disable the refrigerator's ice-making feature, which is useful when the ice maker requires cleaning or repair.   • Mild dish washing liquid soap
  • Non-abrasive sponge
  • Soft, clean cloth

Instructions

      Press the "On/Off" switch above the "Ice" feature on the refrigerator's control panel for three seconds to turn off the ice maker.

      Open the refrigerator door and pull out the ice bin. Empty the ice into your kitchen sink and turn on the hot water faucet to melt the discarded ice.

      Pour 1 tsp. of mild dish washing liquid soap into the ice bin and wash the inside of the ice bin with a non-abrasive sponge and hot water.

      Rinse out the ice bin with hot water and wipe the inside dry with a soft, clean cloth.

      Insert the ice bin back into the refrigerator door.
