Instructions

    • 1

Cut out two cardboard circles using scissors, each measuring 3 inches across.

    • 2

Cut out a hole in the center of each cardboard circle using scissors to measure 1 inch in diameter.

    • 3

Place the two cardboard rings together. Wrap yarn around the outside of the rings and through the holes until the holes are too small to pass any more yarn through it.

    • 4

Cut around the circumference of the wrapped rings, cutting the two rings apart.

    • 5

Cut a piece of yarn to measure 6 inches long, and wrap it around the circumference and in between the two rings. Tie the string into a tight knot, then leave the excess length of yarn intact.

    • 6

Remove the two cardboard rings to reveal a knit pom-pom.

    • 7

Thread the excess length of yarn onto an embroidery needle and sew the pom-pom onto the edge of a pillow. Repeat to add on as many handmade pom-poms as you prefer.
