How to Clean a Loofa
Loofahs are a great addition to any shower kit, as they help with exfoliation and lathering with soap. Bacteria, however, like loofahs just as much you do, as they are a damp, shady place to grow and multiply. Take steps to regularly clean your loofah so that you get rid of all the bacteria living in it, and can have some peace of mind next time you use the shower. Does this Spark an idea?

Fill the basin with hot water. If you do not have a basin, a clean sink with a stopper works equally as well.

Add roughly 1 cup hydrogen peroxide to the water, as well as roughly 1 tablespoon white vinegar.

Put the loofah in the mixture.

Leave the loofah to soak, anywhere from an hour to overnight if that is more convenient. Rinse the loofah when done, and allow it to air dry.
